Your swimming pool may attract bears?

Js Swimming Pools Ltd predominantly serve the vast counties of Norfolk and Suffolk, two places teeming with wildlife, but not bears, we don’t think.

You’ll find deer, squirrels, rabbits and a multitude of birds in this beautiful part of England, but our team have never yet come across a bear cooling off in a pool!

Fortunately this news item we picked up from last year came from Los Angeles, where a 300 pound brown bear, no less, decided to cool off:

Now what we specialise in is not wildlife, but swimming pools.

These are a structure designed to hold water to enable swimming or other leisure activities – for humans!

Pools can be built into the ground (in-ground pools) or built above ground (as a freestanding construction or as part of a building or other larger structure), and are also a common feature aboard ocean-liners and cruise ships.

In-ground pools are most commonly constructed from materials such as concrete, natural stone, metal, plastic, or fibreglass, and can be of a custom size and shape or built to a standardised size, the largest of which is the Olympic-size swimming pool.

What we cannot do though, in our part of the world, is entice bathing bears!
